The decision to be just a trio included a commitment to a stripped-down sound, favoring straight-ahead no-frills rock and roll. The songs on Someone’s Waiting deal with basic Christian themes. “Rumor” addresses the destructive power of gossip, “That’s Not for Me” is a rejection of the occult; “Give Us a Burden” and “Surrender” testify to faith in Christ" (source: Christian New Wave)
